Default Made some new friends today.
Couldn't get this little lady to stay still long enough for a good picture.
Name: IMG00070-20100825-1112.jpg Views: 74 Size: 96.6 KB
Name: IMG00071-20100825-1113.jpg Views: 76 Size: 99.1 KB

Her sister thought she was a model.
Name: IMG00076-20100825-1132.jpg Views: 75 Size: 91.6 KB

And this was the biggest of the three.
Name: IMG00082-20100825-1142.jpg Views: 74 Size: 89.7 KB

No worries, they were just Nephila clavipes, Golden Silk Spiders. Though not poisonous, they can bite.

Found this guy on his back in front of the shop. I helped him up and then accidentally, cough cough, stepped on him. Thought it might be one of those western pine beetles.
