Without getting into off-show politics- loved Col. Potter. OLD school Army officer that got it. Have worked for commanders like that.

Radar- in real life- collected very small handguns (Baby Hammerless sized stuff) some of his collection has been showing up for sale lately with a letter of authenticity signed by him.

Several of the minor characters had good characters. Remember the gravelly voiced motor pool sgt? The cook only seen in the chow line? Some of the other nurses- like Lt. Dish?

And I really did like Father Mulcahy- you might mistake him for a lightweight until you got down to the serious things. Then you found the tempered steel under the surface.

Don't know if I can nail down a favorite but in my opinion M*A*S*H was the best sitcom to ever air.

Hated it. I dont like shows that degrade the military and degrade honest hard working people of the country.

Ever wonder why both protaganist doctors burns and winchester were protrayed as rich money grubbers??

Ever wonder why winchester was named winchester?? At the the time the most popular gun in the usa were winchester rifles and using that name on a character that was a boob was very intentional.

Ever wonder why there werent ever any wounded soldiers that did heroic things to get their wounds portrayed??

Think about why every general or colonel had some huge issue with predatory behaviour or just plane psychotic??

i hate propoganda disguised as tv shows

JonM, it was made by Hollyweird. Let's not be suprised by the liberal leanings of the leftest corner of the U.S.

I enjoyed the program for the situational dramedy it was.
