The docs back east thought I had it as well, due to places I was exposed to..

I have wondered about the Lyme disease due to the way I lost my taste for meat hi high school, but I still eat sushi and oysters regularly. I suspect my distaste for meat had more to do with the 3000 mg of erythromycin I took every day in high school.

Got my new medication today. This is the most expensive bottle I have ever paid for in my life. Might be as much as I have ever spent on all of my past medications combined! It cost me $1512.32 and is a thirty day supply. I am supposed to take it for ninety days.

Oh, and this is just one of several things I am prescribed to fight this disease.

Thats just crazy pricing, Im guessing you can get the same meds in Mexico for $100 all day long. Government sanctioned monopolies are way out of control, a complete sham. Guaranteed profit margins with very little competition playing into the market whatsoever. Wallmart is about one of the only pharmacies that seems to be making some headway because their buying power is 10 times the next guys, they sell generics at half the price anyone else does. They aren't passing on all of the reward because no body else can compete with them so they dont have to.

Same with your procedures and tests, no competition at all! Medicaid, Medicare and Insurance companies set the price they will pay and if the Dr wants to practice, they will decide to accept or not. Actually not setting prices will naturally cause them to come down, competition will rise to capture share every single time because we have phones, the internet and other tools to seek out the most reasonable costs.

Price fixing fixes nothing, only lethargy, dependance and Mutually Assured Mediocrity!
