That is the real thing, and damned powerful. I was thinking of my grandparents as I watched that. Gramps was always "Captain", and Granny was always "Madame"- to each other, and the kids and grandkids. Farmers- and Captain was a blacksmith. I remember watching them walk into church together- 56 years of marriage, having raised 15 sons, daughters, and nephews- holding hands. A few years later, after church, I would walk with Captain over to the cemetery so he could visit with Madame. That sort of thing has gone away, and we are a poorer people without it.
