Sorry for your loss. I have only lost one dog I was extremely close to. Took everything I had not to go crazy on the person who shot her and paralyzed her.

All dogs go to heaven, hopefully Ammo doesn’t run into a gaggle of Brittany Spaniels named Misty, Beezer and Tanner that would only corrupt her.
No worries they were good dogs too.

Sorry to hear of your loss BW. I lost just a few months ago and still getting use to not having him with me. Dogs truly become part of the family and are missed as much when they leave this world.

Sorry to hear of the loss of one of your beloved buddies, BW. Dogs are definately 'honourary humans'; loyal and staunch in a way many people can never be.

Man, sorry to hear about it. We have 2 ourself and we would both die if anything happen to them.. I lost my best dog in January 2006.

There is no human alive that can/will love you as unconditional as a dog..

Default Sorry for your loss!
I did not get to have a dog until I was nearly in my late teens, but the beagle
mix dog I got was the "best I could have hoped for"! He was known as my
"shadow" as no "non-human" loved me as much as he did! It stinks that a
dog has a short life compared to us despite everything vets can do for them
today! Goober holds our record at nearly 16.5 yrs, but it is still hard for me
to keep a dry eye when I drive past the late night emergency vet near home!
I hope Jethro will live the past the estimated 19 yrs that some of his breeders
have produced in the 40 yrs that they have bred beagles as he was the last
one before they retired in their 80's! Jethro, has the benefit of being my latest
beag with all I have learned about the breed!

It's too bad death and sickness are a part of life. But to have all the good, these are things you have to experience with it. But I think, having all the good was worth it.
