My first car was a 1965 VW beetle with about 300,000 miles on it at the time it became "mine". I only got to drive it for a few years, but it was in the family from 1965 until 1989 or 1990. The longest i have had a particular vehicle was that POS, parts-eating 1991 Ford Exploder that i had for 180,000 miles and about 7 years. State Farm gave me over $7000 for that thing after a lil honda took it out (had help from an oncoming Acura). I will never go to an insurance settlement without a neck brace ever again.

My current car is a 2002 that i bought in 2004 with 30,000 miles; it has some time left and a few minor mods.

69 El Camino, big block, red with black stripes, 400 trans, had it since 1974 and just drive it to Sunday meetings and the Range of course..... Have had to change the heads because of unleaded fuel but still runs like a bandit. With fuel going up again it looks like she stays inside more.

I bought a 99 Durango in Feb 99 and my wife still drives it daily. About 250k on it now, and it runs like new.4wd, AWD, orig trans.

In 1967 my grandfather bought a new Scout for our lake house in Wisconsin. It is still there, all orig and has only needed tune ups, tires and belts. It has 36,000 miles on it. I guess you could say I own that.

Highest milage vehicle I ever had was a Nissan P/U that had over 500K when I bought it. Drove for a little under a year. Went to the junkyard after a stupid woman in a Maxima slammed into the front end doing about 40. (still drove it for almost two months until the cracked block finally gave up)

Longest I've ever owned one was my '94 Mitsubishi Galant. Bought it when I was 16, owned it until my ex-wife convinced me to sell it in '06. I put almost 200k miles on it. To this day it's the fastest car I've ever owned and I regret ever letting it go. (No, it was not even close to stock. Highest dyno pull was 492 hp, with my "street tune" putting down about 300 to the front wheels)

1982 K5 Blazer. I have had it for about 7 or 8 years. 200 or 300 thousand miles. Not sure which. Doesn't matter since the body is about the only original part of it.

Right now is the longest I've ever owned a vehicle. I got a Chevy 2500 HD new in 2006 and still have it with about 80,000 miles on it. I've an 06 Colorado for a back and forth to work truck for about a year that has about 40,000 miles. Both are paid off and (knock on wood) will last me many many more years.
When I move south in the next few years though, I may trade the Colorado in on a mini cooper if I'm around some twisty roads.
