then i'll just bring a few extra boxes of ammo then.

that's right. lock your dog and your wife in the trunk of your car and come back two hours later and let them out. guess which one will be happier to see you!

Up north for two months? Here's what I would bring:

My dog
22 rifle along with the other rifles you mentioned. Should have some time to do a little plinking.
A good set of field glasses and maybe a telescope. There's going to be a whole lot of night sky to look at.
A good astronomy app on an iPad.
A whole lot of books on the iPad.
A whole lot of movies on the the iPad.
A good bible program on the iPad.
An iPad.
For wolves? Capacity over power? 40 Xdm or M&P. Maybe 45.
And take along my laptop for everything the iPad won't do well.

Seeing as there's electricity I'd take my Engal (small portable fridges we use here in Australia for camping etc) fridge, my 30/06AI, .222 AND BRNO .22 and if anywhere near water my fishing gear as well.

Definitely my Toyota Landcruiser 4wd ute to get around a good supply of beer plus perishables and a heap of meat cryo vacced plus vegies, camp oven, camera/vid recorder for those once in a lifetime pictures.

Snowmobile, ice fishing equipment, guns and ammo, more ammo, tannerite. Hey if I'm by my self and no one to bother me I'm definitely blowing up stuff. Two months might not be long enough!
