So here is the story behind this weapon. My parents live in a heavily wooded area in Georgia. My step father was walking around their land when he stumbled across this weapon off in the woods. They promptly released the clip and cleared the chamber (it was loaded with 9mm hollow point shells according to my mother), and contacted the police. She took these pictures before the police arrived.
I've tried to identify the weapon myself but without much luck. So here's where you guys come in. Can anybody identify this weapon?

You are absolutely correct. I goofed on that one. Kimmel AP-9? Still trying to look into this.
Edit: Not the Kimmel. No perforated shroud. Last edited by robocop10mm; 02-11-2009 at 03:37 PM. |

It bugs me, because I think I have seen this thing before. Checking out "Jane's Gun Recognition Guide," but I am not finding this weapon.

I think it's an AA Arms AP-9, I did a google search and the first one that came up was the same gun, it had a little bit longer barrel but everything else was the same. It is on another forum as someone is or was trying to sell it.
AA Arms AP-9 Assault Pistol w/ Extras - LS1TECH
This one has a longer shrouded barrel with the front sight mounted further out but everything else is the same. __________________ Century Arms AR-15A2, 5.56
