Ive said before.. you may regret how it looks in 20 years but if it has meaning to you.. you will never regret it. My tattoos all have stories behind them and explain my life. Others may not see it, but i know and thats what matters.

Its like the saying goes.. "the difference between people with tattoos and the people with is... the people with tattoos do not judge people without"

Lol thats not what I meant. I was trying to explain how you think you may regret getting one. I am describing people that have old, blotchy, unrecognizable tattoos. Someone may see them and think "thats disgusting" or "thet look terrible". But that Person may love his/her tattoos and have special meaning to them regardless of the look.

The most important thing is to be sure it is what you want for the rest of your life.

I have two ideas for a tattoo that raise their head every now and again. One is of a zipper pull that I want to place atop a surgical hip replacement scar. The other is the phrase "Inspected by number 7", but I don't know where I'd put it.

If you have a tattoo don't people look at you like you're in a gang. Not sure I want the negative connotation that goes along with it.

I think that it's pretty acceptable nowadays. Tons of people have them, that negative connotation is dying out.

Well someone could get a small blackbird tattoo, then when their 80 it will have turned into a buzzard. Maybe they will like buzzards by then :-)
