Honestly, i would report it to the local police just in case it happens again or has been reported by one of your neighbors.

Alternatively, i can recall some Jr. High hijinks that got interrupted mid-LOL by the semi-distant & almost unintelligible sound of a PA yelling about "private land" and such. I don't remember anyone checking to see if that PA speaker was mounted in a patrolcar's grill or lightbar or what. I do remember lots of running, though. Such a response would let someone who was doing some late night target practice on their own property know they were running a bit late for their neighbors' happiness. It would also probably scatter any youthful goofballs being goofy (probably the problem).
