If you live in/near a small town, this is likely the last summer youll see a first run movie in your local theater.
Small theaters just wont have the fund$ for the 2013 conversion to digital projection. The numbers of people who would pay theater prices to see an old movie are limited and the small theaters will close. If you live in a small town, expect to do some driving to see a movie next summer.
Perhaps there is an opportunity for LARGE screen TV owners to show movies, but not without the studios lowering their display fees. If they don't, I see a business shooting itself in the foot, just like the music business had.
