How did those end up THERE?

I mean, I've seen seagulls in North Mississippi, but Pelicans in Wyoming? They got on the wrong bus!

Those are in Utah/Idaho. We have seagulls in Utah too. Random fact for the day, the Seagull is Utah's state bird. There is only one explanation for this... Mormons.

The seagull is Utah's state bird?
Strange.
The only state birds I know are Indiana's state bird is the Cardinal, and Kentucky's state bird is the Fly.

You think we're strange? Flies aren't even birds, they're insects. There has to be at least 1 person in Kentucky smart enough to know that...

Anyway, back to the explanation, Mormons.

The Georgia State Bird is the Brown Thrasher. Now you can add that to your knowledge base.

Look at that you learned two completely useless facts today.

I thought the Mormons were all anti- on drugs and alcohol.

Mississippi's state bird is the mockingbird; if I live to retire, I plan to torture errr train one to sing Dixie.

http://shirt.woot.com/offers/songbirds-of-north-america I have that shirt, and yes, people do "get it", though I do wonder when somebody will ask me if mockingbirds really use skoal.

There were no drugs or alcohol involved.

[hangs up on local Mormon association with a quickness]

Heck, under such conditions, I would be imagining sea birds myself in a few days.
