If you live in a landfill, MOVE!

If everyone had half that ingenuity we would live in a very different world.
I think I would avoid the wind instruments.

That sort of attitude is terribly ignorant of the human condition. There are many places in this world where quite simply, people have absolutely no choice. They either live there and scrape what meager income they can off of the landfill, or they move and starve to death. Which would you choose?

The inspiring part is that the kids and the adults who are creating these instruments out of trash are doing what they can in order to possibly be able to improve their lot in life. If they have talent and they are recognized for that talent, they will be able to move and maybe they can bring their families up with them. Musicians don't make a lot of money though, at least not in the philharmonic.

If you have the option to just suddenly pull up stakes and move your class of living up at the drop of a hat, then why don't you do that?!

I have moved a few times to improve (or maintain) my quality of life.

And a lot of new homes have been built on previous landfills.

Millions of people don't have that luxury. I imagine many of them live on dumps.

Can we return to the original subject now?
