I love how so many people down here think they can tear down a bear infested forest, build a sub division in the middle of it and not expect to see bears. Then a bunch of them think they can leave food and **** out for them, not keep their trash locked up, and not expect the bears to associate you with food. They're wild animals, not to mention top predators for christs sake.

Maybe a stick for CA though
Yup, but the CA sticks have to be on the approved list and there is a three day wait before you can whittle them or use them to "prod" (not "hit" or "whack", that'll get you a fine) an offensive bear, and if you have a quick detach lanyard or a metal tip, whoooooeeeee, that'll cost you plenty in the land of the bear flag.

Exactly! Those developers should be required to exterminate all potential pest species within 400 yards when they build these neighborhoods.

You know, "for the children".

Gello, getting a stick in KA is a 10 day wait, not a 3. Also if the stick is an assault stick it will need to be registered.

Only 400 yards? That's not that far for a bear. You're getting soft, Gello. I figured 400 miles would be closer to the right distance, coming from you.

You're being too fair to the bears by giving them 400 yards.

Why just bears just kill everything that can be dangerous to humans. Spiders snakes dogs and numerous other creatures.

•You are 12 times more likely to die of a bee sting than a bear attack (120 times more likely compared to a black bear)

•For each person killed by a black bear attack there are 13 people killed by snakes, 17 by spiders, 45 by dogs, 120 by bees, 150 by tornadoes, 374 by lightning,
