Default Kill them ALL! bear attacks

http://news.yahoo.com/black-bear-mauls-florida-woman-drags-her-garage-164756458--abc-news-topstories.html

Quote:
"The bear got up on [its] hind legs and started to maul her, opened its jaws and put her head in the mouth and dragged her towards the woods," Frank Frana said. "Somehow she was able to pull herself out."

"The bears were various sizes so we think it's probably cubs of different maturity and perhaps a mama bear," the Seminole County Sheriff's Office told ABC News.
Even the juveniles are dangerous after watching such behavior from their mother. They need to eliminate them from the area completely.

I sense you and bears go way back. Care to tell the story?

Just one more reason to not take your gun off your hip until you disrobe to retire for the night.

I knew alligators where a big risk factor in Florida.

I remember as a kid chasing them away with my big hiking stick.

I carry a hiking stick with me now wherever I hike.

(See avatar photo.)

They work great on black bears as well.

What is the old joke about bears, again ...

- how can you tell if a bear is a black bear or a brown bear?

- run to a tree and climb it, and if the bear climbs up after you, it is a black bear;

- if you never make it to the tree, it is a brown bear!

(Never go anywhere without a big stick.)

If you hit a brown bear with a stick you are liable to just piss him off. Same goes for a determined momma black bear.

I hear they love honey-dipped puppies.

yea, get a stick...like everybody is going to take that advice. this is a gun Forum, I think I will leave the stick for the dog to chew on and hip holster my 44 mag.

Maybe a stick for CA though
