The Star Spangled Banner sung by Whitney Houston literally brings tears to my eyes. This is one of my favorites.........

She sang it beautifully and almost made it look effortless.

Is it just me that gets pissed that because I have two doors into my office that people think it is a gosh darn shortcut?

I have a corner office that I share with one other person. We keep the divider open so we can talk and it just makes life easier when she is teaching a class or I am working on 30 + computers at a time. But 90% of the people I work with now think it is the dam shortcut. I hate people just coming though my office and touching things. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAA

Alright Tango, here is your solution.

Place a really heavy object next to the door (like a gold painted anvil or something). The first person that walks in, stop them and ask them if they could get that for you. The next person that walks through, ask them if they could put it back "over there".

Repeat ad nauseam.

Absolutely spoken for the truth there.

Is it just me being disgusted when some "pop singer" embellishes the National Anthem with notes that were not written in it? I don't care if they're some supposed super star, just sing the melody as written. I sent a very nice letter to Mike Rowe (of Dirty Jobs fame) when, during one of his "jobs" he was asked to sing the National Anthem at the opening of a local baseball game. He sang it, as written, and I thanked him for doing so.

Yes, I'm an old fart who thinks that if you can't sing a song as written, you have no business singing it.
It is not just you. As a musician, I understand fully there is a time for improvisation and elaboration. The Star Spangled Banner is not one of those times. Sure, hold out "Free" at the end. Hell, even take it up a bit. But sing the dang thing as it was written.

Is it just me, but if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself?

I love it when one of your job responsibilities gets moved to someone else, because you are swamped, and they don't do anything with it. So your client calls you all pissed off wondering what the hell is going on, and you are completely in the dark. First thing in the morning. Still working on your first cup of coffee. Great way to start the day!

Nah, I just delegate to others and, if they fail, I fire them.

I agree. I finally took down all my Christmas decorations and the tree. Yes, I've had it up all this while. If you can have it up a month before Christmas why can't you have it up a month after Christmas.

Now it is just winter.
