Default The joys of age

It's not so bad being old really, here are some benefits as I see it:

I'm very regular, the morning dump happens at 0430 - whether I get out of bed or not.

Joint pain tends to rotate so on some days my knees don't hurt as bad as my back and other days my right shoulder feels almost normal.

I'm wiser than young people - I just forget it sometimes.

I have a lot more disposable income now, had I had money when I was young I probably wouldn't have made it to this age...

You get to make new friends every day...

You get to hide your own Easter eggs...

You can have the same thing for breakfast, lunch and tea...

You get to make new friends every day...

The thing I like about getting old is being a Grandfather, and what I like about being a Grandfather is I can spoil the grandchildren to no end, and at the end of the day the grandchildren go home to the parents all worked up. "Sweet revenge."

Absolute truth right there. My first grandchild was born just before Christmas and I'm already plotting sweet revenge. Someday she'll return home from a visit and tell her Dad: "But grandpa gives me beer & chocolate cake all the time"...

Can you take a leak without pissing on the floor?

Where I work we get a lot of older guys in there and I swear, almost daily, someone pisses on the floor.

I've always heard that when you're old you stop caring and can do whatever you want. I decided, why wait...I hit that age a few years ago.

The best thing about being a grandparent is I feel I now know what's important and what isn't. What use to flip my out when I was raising my kids I now realize isn't all that big a deal and I can let it go. It's easy to snuggle with my granddaughter because I don't have the hectic schedule young parents have with work and keeping up with household chores. My life is slower so it's easier to spend more time with the grandchild than I had time to spend with my own children. Life is grand.

Another benefit is it don't matter how you dress as you don't have to impress anybody...
