Jokes about the Military
Okay, there have been a couple of mentions and I know that I have been yearning to make a couple of jabs at other branches and MOS's but have resisted so as not to offend anyone. So here it is, the place to tell jokes about the military, please keep it in good fun and don't get offended. I love jokes about the various branches so lets hear them. And remember, there are only two MOSs' int the army... The 11Bs and the 11Wannabes. :D
Most of the good ones I have are R rated at best. Would have to be in a different forum :D
Ok, so two captains and a lieutenant colonel (their Battalion Cdr) were rummaging through some old items in the unit storage area. They came across a tarnished oil lamp in an old box hidden in the back corner. They were very puzzled as it was a strange item to be in the storage area. One of the CPTs rubbed it to see if there was an engraving. POOF! A genie appeared and announced that they each had one wish. The first captain thought a moment. "I wish I was a rich civilian that lived in Laguna Beach". POOF! He disappeared from the storage area. The second captain thought, man this is great! He considered his turn and after a minute he said "I wish that I was a rock star with a hundred groupies". POOF! He disappeared. The genie turned to the seasoned colonel and said "well, you get the last wish". The old man didn't hesitate, he knew EXACTLY what he wanted. All his hopes and dreams were riding on this one wish. "OK, I wish those two a$$holes were back in the motorpool right now". POOF
Pfizer worked a deal with the DoD to do some field testing during their development of Viagra. To ensure that the test subjects were in an environment which was both isolated AND let the subjects maintain a normal routine, they decided on a US Navy amphibious assault ship with a full contingent of Marines aboard.
After three weeks of controlled dosage, the Sailors all reported normal erections. The Marines all got taller.
One reason the Services have trouble operating jointly is that they don't speak the same language.
For example, if you told Navy personnel to "secure a building," they would turn off the lights and lock the doors.
Army personnel would occupy the building so no one could enter.
Marines would assault the building, capture it, and defend it with suppressive fire and close combat.
The Air Force, on the other hand, would take out a three-year lease with an option to buy.
One day, during a long escort mission a C-130 Hercules, and an F-16 Fighting Falcon were flying in formation.
In order to combat the boredom, the two pilots were talking to each other and discussing the finer merits of their aircraft.
The F16 pilot said "My aircraft can fly over mach speeds, deliver pinpoint munitions to the target, and engage multiple enemies at once, all while doing a barrel roll."
The C-130 pilot was a little annoyed at the bravado of the F-16 pilot. The C-130 pilot said "Listen, hotshot. This ole C-130 may be ugly, but I can do something that you will never be able to do in that slick little fighter of yours."
The F-16 pilot looked confused "What would that be?"
The C-130 pilot said "Watch this.........." The F-16 pilot watched for about 10 minutes as the C-130 maintained it's straight and level course.
The pilot of the C-130 came back on the net. "There, what do you think of that?" The F-16 pilot asked "What in the heck did you do? I saw nothing...."
The C-130 pilot responded "I got up, used the latrine, grabbed a cup of coffee and had a snack."
The F-16 pilot didn't say another word for the entire mission.

Anyone here ever heard of Bill Mauldin?
Willie and Joe?
This is a book my Dad gave me long ago. Bill Mauldin keep a lot of WWII GI's morale up in combat! His cartoons were published in Stars and Stripes.
My Dad met Bill in theater around Luxembourg in 1944. He also met Ernest Hemingway and Ernie Pyle, more names not mentioned in history books today.
