Default Jet Blue Fail!

JetBlue Flight Pilot Pleaded for Help During Tarmac Ordeal - ABC News

I don't fly very much at all these days (only a few times since 9/11) but I think if I had been on that plane the cops would have had to have been there a Hell of a lot sooner. I would have opened the damn door myself and jumped to the tarmac.

Hmmm... trapped in a plane for a few hours? Or trapped in an 8X10 jail cell for longer??? I'd have opted for the free plane ticket.

Stuck at Ronald Reagan DCA when leaving Herndon after training for 6 hours. Deiced three times, taxied to the active 4 times before finally departing. Weather puts a crimp in airport operations.

Got three free Adult Beverages while on the ground, and an upgraded meal after departure.

If I go to jail for freeing 100 prisoners would I not then be a martyr? Some folks blow themselves up for that sort of street cred.

Oh, wait. I got it wrong. Some folks blow themselves up to kill 100 people.

Do you seriously think that in today's world of instant news a guy breaking out of that plane would be convicted of anything? I would gladly spend a night in jail if it meant I could get my family and the rest of the passengers out of that plane. Hell, the pilot was on the edge of doing the same thing!

The airport and Jet Blue are the criminals here. If the passengers open the damned doors in order to escape from an oppressive situation that is not a criminal act in my mind. The guy who opens the door might be jailed immediately (Hell, at least jail has working toilets, heat and food. At least in this country as far as I know.), but do you really think that he would be convicted for a crime for doing so? I hope that would not be the case.

Think that's bad? Man Claims JetBlue Forced Him to Fly in Toilet - ABC News

I seem to freaking LIVE on airplanes- but not on Jet Blue. If you are flying Blue, and the flight gets scrubbed, and there is not another Jet Blue flight that day- you are stuck. They do NOT have an agreement with other airlines to transfer a passenger to that airline. Left me stuck at O'Hare. Not again.

Airlines are playing this ramp crap. They push back from the gate- and sit. Because they have to report deviation from on-time departures- but if it pushed back from the gate on time- EVEN IF THEY SIT ON THE RAMP FOR 2 HOURS- that goes into the book as an "on time departure".

The original post was not about being held up for a couple of hours- it was 7 hours, no food, no drink, no potties. The term "unlawful imprisonment" starts to come to mind.

There is one airline notably famous for taking off immediately,
if not five minutes before its scheduled departure. And that is
Southwest Airlines who drill that into their employees. Sitting
on the tarmac indefinitely? Never with this airline.

Simple solution one man takes one for the team.

"My chest hurts, I think im having a heart attack."

Now you can open the plane door and help save a life.
