Not many people know but all these fancy large screen tv's are a huge loss for all manufactures. The small screens (IE phones, tablets, monitors) pay for the large 32"+ tv's.

Website is pretty screwy, but I was able to get the gist of it. It seems like many large companies are doing what they can to reduce cost, even if quality will greatly suffer.
