Default J Guthrie

I just read in G&A magazine that one of my favorite writers ever, J Guthrie died. I always read his column first, and it was an awful feeling to read that he was dead. I think we should all pay our respects to this good person and pray for his family.

I saw that today as well. It said he passed in his sleep. R.I.P.

This is what I felt like when I read about his kids.

I also read about his passing yesterday. I liked the writers attempt to lighten the mood when he remarked about J still owing him an article.

Yeah, the eulogies were really well written. I bet if he had lived longer, he could have made it among the ranks of Bill Jordan, Elmer Keith, and Jeff Cooper, or pretty darn close.
