IRC Chat now available...

I set up an IRC server.

irc.hydrashok.com port 6667

If you need a chat client, do a google search for mIRC

See ya there!

Nobody?? Would it be better if I added a web-based chat client???

Dillinger 09-21-2009 03:29 PM

It would be better if some of us knew what the hell you were talking about... LOL :p

IRC = Internet Relay Chat

I have set up a chat server. You need a chat client.

Instead of just posting messages back and forth, users can chat, live, with each other.

Download and install mIRC. When you load it up, close all of the windows that load up when you first install it, and when you get to the status window, type: /server irc.hydrashok.com

After you're connected, type /join #firearmstalk.com

You'll join a room with other FirearmsTalk Forum users.

NOW do you know what the hell I'm talking about?? :p

I've been on some forums that have an internal web-based chat section. That works better for me as I can't load any software on my computer at work...

Here's one that's quick, easy, and free:

Mibbit.com Webchat client

Click on the link that says "server"

Type in: irc.hydrashok.com

In the channel box, type: #FirearmsTalk.com

Select your user id (your Nick)

Click "Go!"

Dillinger 09-21-2009 04:40 PM

Sweet. I am in and none of you bitches know what's going on. :D

NGIB 09-21-2009 04:41 PM

To bad, it's blocked by the firewall at work...
