Agreed...Creepy. I guess this guy was actually plotting with others and money discussed...how would you find a co-conspirator for such a freaked out plan? I have a hard time finding a golf partner.

It is a stroke of luck that they caught him. There is so much spewed out on the net, it seems it would take an army to monitor it all.

I have to believe, just based on things that have been able to be stopped (terrorist attacks, child molesters crossing statelines for meet ups, etc.) that the federal government has a very large, very nerd infested, building with some of the best and brightest that the digital age has produced. The kind of building where people ride scooters to their cubicles, have tattoos and piercings, talk about recent new age concerts around the water cooler and spend all day just surfing and reading through everything that is out there.

Once someone like this is discovered, I would hope they assemble a team of 3 or 4 super hackers and just give them a green light to go through everything electronic this guy has ever owned. Phone, computer, tablets, IP service, everything - and just backtrack up the chain to find other members.

Oddly enough, I am totally okay if that were to happen in this case because these people need to caught.

JD

What can he be convicted on, harmful intent? He should be dismissed from being a cop and put on a watch list!

Valle was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit kidnapping and accessing a computer without authorization and could face up to life in prison
This is before they turn his life upside down and look deep into his personal items. There could be more charges coming.

A New York City police officer plotted to kidnap, cook and eat women, using a crime victim database ...
you must have missed this part ... unless he had OFFICIAL REASON to access this database than he has committed a crime

And like JD said, this is just the beginning of this POS having his life turned upside down, inside out, backwards and forwards ... what will they know about him in a month ... 3 months ... 6 months ... next year?

My guess is, this was not his first attempt or plan like this, but it is going to take some time to uncover when his "first" was. Most likely it will be within the past decade, would have been VERY unorganized and would have been something that went well enough to satisfy him, but scared him enough to keep it at bay. Probably not a kidnap and murder, probably some sort of rape, or rape attempt would be my guess.

Becoming a cop, I assume we will find, was part of his intent to get greater access to victims and learn that much more about covering up his crimes.

I predict we are going to find a lot more about this guy than just a database of victim's names and an "intent".

The ones who are truly sick and demented will confess all of the details becuase they do not have a sense that what they have done or are plotting to do is wrong. From what I understand he is one of this type.
