Indoor go kart racing

Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone enjoys racing indoor go karts ? I happen to work at a track and it's a blast !.. Real race karts. Although, Wa. State wont let us run the karts without limiters on the throttle. Ours do about 35-40 MPH.

But they are so much fun.. Anyone else race them ??

There is tack close by us. I've been there once and it was fun but super expensive. They go about 45-50mph. Good time but at $22 a ride, it gets pricey quick!

Do the carts have gun mounts?

I'd pay $22 a ride for a M134DT equipped cart with a 3000 Round Little Bird Magazine. Of course the ammo weight would slow the cart to a crawl! And sustained fire would back the cart up!

A buddy of mine works for BMW at their test facility out here. This is the same place where they are putting all the finishing touches on the electric mini coopers so they constantly have engineers from Germany at the site. One day he calls me up and says BMW is paying for him to take these guys out and asked if I wanted to tag along. We ended up taking them to an indoor kart track. Now these are all your stereotypical straightlaced engineer type people, and very German to top it off. They thought we were crazy for bringing them there and started talking all this crap about how they drive on the autobahn and these stupid American toys were no match for their driving prowess. Well suffice to say, we smoked them and they ended up having so much fun it turns out that the first thing the guys who have never been over do is to go to the kart track. Absolutely hilarious to see these guys arguing and talking crap to each other.

I dunno about racing go carts but I fell in love with the open class racing riding mowers. Just imagine how many people you could get to swear off drinking after passing them up on a riding mower on the road.:D

Nurburgring Ring (Germany)

Indoor carting is great; however, this is the scream :D to try out! I got to go up there twice; however, was unable to drive the track, slots were full.

I love going racing. I go out to Sy Kart in Tukwila, WA.
I try to get my friends to go with me and they complain, until they finally go. Then they love it.

Sy kart eh ?? Heard about them, havent tried that track yet.. If you ever get to Lakewood, try Grand Prix Raceway.. We have Monday Madness now.. 10 bucks for a 20 lap race.. Wednesdays is 30 lap races for 20 bucks..

So where's a picture of your machine?

I never said I had 1-just started craving them after watching them on tv. It's just "I wish I had 1 of those" kind of things with me.
