Took my family downtown to an awesome place honoring vets from Indy. Runs through every war and honors the Hoosiers that fought in them. Lots of history, flags (like the bullet riddled one that flew over Gettysburg), weapons on display plus jeeps, a Cobra, Hummer, a bunch of Navy stuff and things like a World Trade Center beam and part of the Pentagon. Lots of things to see and it's free to visit.
Drove past the Memorial many times with my parents as a small child but never got to go in. Did you go the the Medal of Honor memorial while you were in Indy?
I live in Indy so it wasn't a big trip. Like 15 minutes to downtown. I can't believe I'm 40 and just now checking this place out. It's very cool.
Where is the Medal of Honor Memorial?
I only saw it from a distance last time I was in Indy.
Oh, that. Yes, been there MANY times. It's right behind The State Museum on the canal.
