Scene 26

elsewhere…

Overlooking the compound from beyond a ridgeline in the trees tacticalfun had perfect position to see all that went on. For the past 5 days he kept watch on the comings and goings of the UN forces. He had a pretty good idea of how many FTF’rs were being held there … too many he said to himself! Had it not been for bkt’s explicit orders he would have engaged the enemy by now … but bkt wanted intel … solid intel! … so he waited … and observed. He heard the FTF convoy coming up the pass behind him … shortly they would rendezvous with him and get an update on the situation.

Axxe55 eased the MRAP up the pass, they had received coordinates from tacticalfun earlier and now the gps told him he was close. As he pulled the vehicle to a stop the FTF troop transport and medical trailer pulled up alongside … the entire convoy … all that was left of FTF who hadn’t been captured and held in the compound below … all that was left to fight.

Scene 27

<PANG> another burst of tank fire erupted … <PANG> … <PANG> <PANG> … damn these tanks are killing us Trip thought! The ground erupted … throwing chunks of earth and debris all around him … and what was left of his team. He tossed another smoke grenade in front of his position … “we need to move from here fast guys” <he yelled over the tank fire>

texaswoodworker and Zombiegirl could see the trouble Trip, MrWray and Shihan were in … pinned down in a crater just short of the compound wall. The 2 UN tanks in perfect position to repel the advancing FTF force. “We need to do something texaswoodworker” shouted Zombiegirl! <firing on the compound>

texaswoodworker: I don’t think we can’t make it to the walls from here … too much open ground <he shouted back> ... throwing another smoke grenade to help cover Trip’s team, returning fire on the compound>

Zomiegirl: at least we can take heat off of Trip and his team … they’ll be destroyed if we don’t! <she exclaimed … giving return fire on the compound>

Tackberry1 was back up on the 50cal … the MRAP destroyed by a direct hit … it had rolled completely over. But the 50cal was ineffective against the armor of the tanks … just ricocheting off in all directions. Axxe55 was badly injured and still inside ... being tended to by Orangello. Mountainman13 and AgentTikki had scrambled out … injured but still in the fight … just too far away to help the other teams.

From up on the ridgeline tacticalfun was suppressing the UN forces as fast as he could … blue helmets dropping every time one came within his sights. jonM’s hide took a near direct hit early on … only the sounds of groans and moans coming from his direction. WoC had made it over to him … but he would be out of this fight for the duration.

<PANG> … <PANG> …<PANG> <PANG> … the UN tanks continued their barrage … the barrels of their M1’s glowing red.

If we could capture those tanks the tide would turn in our favor CA357 thought … but at what cost he wondered … it had been so great already … more FTF’rs going down: Downsouth, Axxe55, jonM …

CA357: KEEP MOVING <he shouted the command>

<PANG> a tank shell just rocketing over his position …

Scene 28

WoC knew what Mosin was carrying … she knew he had broken into the Secure Ward of the Medical trailer to take it … what he was going to do with it she had no idea. What’s done is done … he’ll just have to face the consequences she thought to herself. Turning her attention back to jonM … she was probing for the spot on his neck … right there she said to herself ... as she plunged the syringe deep into him … please work she prayed.

Mosin was running as fast as he could … making no effort to take cover … racing headlong towards the enemy tanks. He had an idea … a crazy idea … it was a gamble … one that just may pay off … if he lived long enough to pull it off he told himself.

CA357: Give Mosin some covering fire … smoke grenades if you’ve got em’ <he barked into his tac-com>

mountianman13 and AgentTikki looked back from their position … seeing Mosin racing towards them. Each tossed out a smoke ahead of his path … making room for him in the ditch to take cover. Reaching them he hurdled the ditch and continued on! Stunned for a second mountainman13 and AgentTikki took off after him … putting fire on the compound.

<PANG><PANG> … <PANG> … <PANG> … <PANG> … the barrage continued …

Scene 29

Entering the building through the door Zombiegirl and Trip had the element of surprise working for them … unleashing fire on the UN forces immediately. But it wasn’t long before that advantage wore off … then they found themselves in a heated battle for their very lives …

<POP><POP><POP> … <POP><POP> … Les Intrus! … <POP><POP> …<CRACK> …<POP><POP><POP> … <POP><POP> …<BRRRT><BRRRT> … <POP><POP> … <POP><POP> … <POP> … Incoming! … <CRACK> …<POP> … <BRRRT> … <CRACK><CRACK> … <BRRRT> … <POP><POP> … BANG! … <CRACK><BRRRT> … you ok? … good! …

Hearing the explosion behind him MrWray turned his attention from Mosin, kicked in a first floor door and entered the building … he raced for the emergency stairwell. There he came up behind 2 UN soldiers making their way up the stairs … grabbing the first by the face from behind he rammed his blade into his back … piercing his heart. Hearing the commotion behind him the 2nd soldier turned and opened fire … <CRACK><CRACK> … hitting his comrade in the chest. MrWray flung the now dead soldier up the stairs … distracting the 2nd soldier. Leaping up he grabbed hold of the enemies’ rifle … the two of them falling back on to the stairs. With each struggling for control MrWray took another tactic … maneuvering for the sling he grabbed hold of some slack … struggling with the enemy he wrapped a loose length of it around the soldiers’ neck. Keeping hold of the sling MrWray pulled himself away … yanking the UN soldier forward. Rolling backwards his momentum launched the soldier head over down the stairs … as the soldier toppled over him MrWray pulled hard on the sling … choking the soldier as he landed hard on the steps. Continuing to pull hard on the sling MrWray heard the snap of the soldier’s neck … then watched as his limp body slowly slid down the rest of the stairs. Getting back on his feet he leaped up to the landing … pulled open the door and raced into the room … into the midst of an all out battle …

… <BRRRT> … <POP><POP> … <CRACK> … <POP><POP><POP> … Flashbang out! … <POP> … <CRACK> … Nouveau … <POP><POP><POP> … <CRACK> … <POP><POP> … BANG! … Advance! … <POP><POP><POP> … <POP><POP> … <POP><POP> … <POP><POP> … <BRRRT> … <POP><POP> … <CRACK> … <POP><POP><POP> … Grenade! Get down! … <BRRRT><BRRRT> … <CRACK> … <POP> … KABOOM! … <CRACK> … Ok? I’m good! … <CACK> … <POP><POP> … <BRRRT> … <POP><POP><POP> … <POP><POP> … <CRACK> … <CRACK> … <POP><POP><POP> … <POP><POP> … <BRRRT> … <POP><POP><POP> … Grenade out! … <POP><POP><POP> … <CRACK> … Descendre … <POP> … <BRRRT> … <POP><POP><POP> … KABOOM! … Advance! … <POP><POP><POP> … <POP><POP> … <POP><POP> … <CRACK> … <POP><POP><POP> … <POP><POP> … <POP><POP> … <CRACK> … <POP><POP><POP><POP> …

Scene 30

Digging through the rubble pile Mosin prayed for texaswoodworker to still be alive … how could he be he asked himself. It would be a miracle … taking a tank shell like that at point blank range … buried by the corner of the building … this was pointless he began to say to himself … then he heard a noise …

Mosin: TEXASWOODWORKER! <he shouted>

Removing some debris he could see a hand … bloodied and bruised … he reached down and clasped it … and the hand gripped him back ... weakly. He redoubled his efforts, careful not to compromise the integrity and cause the rubble pile to shift … texaswoodworker could suffer more injury if it did. A moment later he cleared some more debris and Mosin saw a helmet … a few more blocks and bricks and he had exposed texaswoodworker’s face.

Mosin: texaswoodworker? <he asked gently>

Opening his eyes slowly he looked up at who had called out his name … with a blink of his eyes confirming he had heard the call.

Mosin: I can’t believe it man! <he exclaimed> You hang on buddy and I’ll get you out of here. WoC is on her way and she’ll fix you right up!

texaswoodworker: Sounds … good … Mosin <he labored>

Scene 31

He would be hard pressed to say that this rescue was a success … it was … but CA357 couldn't get over the amount of loss it had cost FTF … Shihan … Tackleberry1 … Axxe55 … texaswoodworker … Orangello … jonM <he lamented>. Looking over at the line of FTF’rs pouring out of the barracks basement … so many … so many … and in such ragged condition … their captors must have been hard on them <he thought with sadness>. Snapping back from his remorse he regained his iron like composure … Well, 2 can play that game he said to himself … as Zombiegirl had already proven. bkt wouldn't approve of it … but he wasn't here.

Keeping a watch over the prisoners MrWray stole glances every now and then at the line of forum members pouring out of the building. The UN must have brought an army to pull this operation off he thought. All this time JD kept ranting how it was nearly logistically impossible … and the UN … backed by the French!?! … pull it off? <the Hell he thought to himself>

mountianman13 and AgentTikki had secured the tanks … ordering the crews to join their comrades at the base of the building. Looking the equipment over it they couldn't find any actual damage from whatever it was that Mosin had done. Scratching their heads they called out to towboater and asked him to come take a look.

Scene 32

The debate back and forth went on for what seemed like hours … alsaqr was insistent on calling in more backup … Yunus wanted more time to gather more data. Each of them had a valid argument … but c3shooter knew there was no backup … he knew there was no more time … he knew all this and it added up to one thing for him … he was tired of losing!

C3shooter: Look, we’ve been pouring over this intel for too long now. It’s time we take action <he stated boldly> … JD is off the reservation … we don’t know why and we don’t know how. CA357 pulled off the rescue … at a great cost, but he pulled it off ... commandeering 2 tanks mind you! <he reiterated> Regardless of what is going on with the UN we know where to strike … the UN! <he argued … placing his hands on the table> I submit that we suggest a force be sent to assault the UN! <he declared>

Scene 33

bkt: whatever it takes Don! <breaking protocols … again> … whatever it takes!

CA357: understood

CA357 had just been given orders to assault the UN headquarters … to take the fight to the enemy’s doorstep. This was serious … more serious than he imagined. With FTF’s forces taken beatings at every turn strength was low … equipment and supplies were even lower … so much fighting and more to come … the wounded piling up. But looking over at the members he felt an immense sense of pride … they had been through so much … yet their spirit never wavered … their courage never faltered … he was incredibly proud of them!

CA357: listen up! <he barked over the clamor of the members … he paused long enough for them to gather around> … orders have just come in from Command.

Upon hearing CA357’s bark the entire of FTF’s fighting force … wounded and all … turned their attention to their General. He had their utmost attention … their intensity was absolute … he could feel their eyes on him … he could sense their anticipation … I wonder if they already know he asked himself …

Scene 34

meanwhile back in a NYC hotel …

His mouth agape and lurching forward JD felt as if time had stood still … his body wracked with a convulsion from deep inside his bowels … events were unfolding maddeningly slow … and Amanda’s manhood aimed at his mouth like a Jupiter missile. Retreating into the deepest part of his brain he frantically searched for a happy place …

What a grand day he thought to himself … here at the lake fishing on a beautiful sunny morning … just himself and JD senior. Nothing could remove the smile that was on his face … he had looked forward to this day for EVAR! Casting out his line the bait hit the water with a splash … the bobbin plunking down just a moment later. “Great cast son!” he heard his JD senior call out … looking over he beamed with pride at his father’s recognition. Looking back out at his bobbin he felt nothing could ruin this day … nothing at all … this day was perfect …

Scene 35

With a flurry of data poring in the men over at Intel tried to make sense of it …

c3shooter: I tell you it has to be JD! <he insisted>

alsaqr: it could be … but it may be nothing <he offered>

Yunus: JD hasn’t been heard from or seen since hit Manhattan and lost Ploofy … more than likely he is in hiding or on the run.

alsaqr: there is the possibility that he’s dead <he said with reservation>

c3shooter: no way, not JD! <he stated emphatically> It’s too much of a coincidence … 100 UN Plaza? … a luxury suite? … the corner of the building blown out? No way this is a gas explosion like the NYPD claim it is! <he insisted>

Yunus: Even if you are right … we can’t go to the Commander with a hunch … if we were wrong … <he pasued> … he would string us up. <he said nervously>

alsaqr: that would be getting off easy <he offered meekly>

c3shooter: I’ll stake my life on it! There’s no chance JD would let FTF down <he said sternly … looking the others squarely in their eyes>
