Scene 10

WoC: can you lean forward just a bit <she asked gently, ripping open the bandage wrapper>

With a grimacing grunt MrWray obliged, enduring the pain it would cause him. WoC leaned forward and began wrapping the bandage around his ribs, gently.

WoC: you guys look like hell <she said in amazement>

MrWray: It’s hard to fathom … so much chaos … after we took up this position <his eyes looking off in the distance>

WoC: it’s ok now, just relax. We’ll get you all wrapped up and good as new

MrWray: what about the others? <he asked of his teammates>

WoC: just relax, I’ll get Orangello to come by with some medicine for the pain. <she said gently as she started feeling MrWrays chest>

MrWray: Um … WoC … um, I’m not injured there … it’s my ribs and leg <he said sheepishly>

WoC: Hmmm <she replied, continuing to rub MrWray's chest>

MrWray: My ribs and my leg <motioning with his head>

WoC: Oh … right … um, sorry … yeah … just thought I would check out your chest … you know, just in case <as she started to blush>

MrWray: Sure WoC <he said with a grin>

Scene 11

Yunus: sir, we have General CA357 on the line

bkt: put him on speaker

Yunus: sir <he replied with a nod>

bkt: Give us and update CA357

CA357: Linked up with what is left of Axxe55’s and Robo’s teams. WoC’s medical team is on site.

bkt: what’s left? <he asked with a slight surprise> How bad is it CA357?

CA357: pretty bad sir … Robo is down. rjd3282 and NitroxAZ may not make it. AgetnTikki, MrWray, Mos …

Cutting off CA357’s report “Did I hear you correctly Don? <bkt breaking protocol by using his name> Robo is down?” he asked in shock!

CA357: Sir, yes sir! Robo is down! <he stated clearly>

Everyone at command looked around … stunned at the news they had just heard. bkt leaned down placing his hands on the table, lowering his head and paused for a minute … allowing the news to settle in …

I am a professional and I must give a thorough exam. You don't want me to miss any injuries, do you?

And Orangello with the pain meds. Good one.

Scene 12

CA357: are you all ready to move out WoC?

WoC: almost sir, just one more wounded to tend to. Orangello, will you get the Med trailer prepped and move NitroxAZ? As soon as I’m done with Shihan we’ll move the others.

Orangello: will do, you want me to leave the medi-kit?

WoC: please <she said, turning back to her work>

Everyone there knew NitroxAZ needed the most care … aside from Mosin he was closest to Robo when he went down. While CA357 went off to confer with Axxe55 and Trip Orangello left to get the Medical trailer prepped. WoC could hear the moans and groans coming from Shihan, but since he didn’t appear to be bleeding she tended to the others first. She wrapped up her care of Tackleberry1 and went over to tend to Shihan …

Scene 13

JD didn’t hear CA357’s report, he just knew things were serious … bkt only asks for him when it is. As he entered the room he could feel the tension, he could feel the anxiety … he could feel the eyes of the ladies on him. The ladies always liked it when JD showed up at Command. Veronica eyed him up and down, licking her lips wickedly … Readygirl stopped typing at her station … even let out a cat call whistle! Yes, the ladies loved JD … and he loved the ladies right back <call me he mouthed to Readygirl> …

JD: you asked for me? <he queried, protocol was always lax for JD>

bkt: I did … we’ve just got a field report back from CA357 … it’s not good.

JD: FTF’rs are fighters, it can’t be that bad <he said, a slight hint of indignation behind his words>

Everything in the room got quite … everyone looking down, intently focused on their tasks. You could hear the whir of drives, the buzz of monitors …

Scene 14

CA357 had taken command over Axxe55 and Robo’s units after linking up with them. WoC and her team had collected the wounded, moved the serious cases into the secure Medical trailer. En route to link up with jonM he had time to get apprised of what went down …

CA357: Commandeered a French General’s MRAP … and drowned him and his detail in a river? <he said with amazement> I have to say that may be a first in all of Military history … forget citation, that is Medal worthy right there ... and most certainly promotion worthy! Well done Axxe55! <reaching out to shake his hand>

Axxe55: thank you sir <slightly embarrassed by the praise>

Trip: Right on Axxe55, nice work <he said with a nod of respect and a slap on the back>

CA357: So what happened to rjd3282? The French had no heavy weapons, no artillery, no air support … how did his place get so messed up?

Axxe55: Well, we were listening in on the French command unit’s reports while en route. Seems rjd3282 was a hell of a lot more of a fight than they were bargaining for. He managed to wipe out the 1st tactical entry team with them hardly getting a shot off at him.

CA357 was impressed …Trip whistled slowly, a sign of respect … an entire team … on his own … bad ass! Definitely buying that man a beer if he makes it through he thought …

CA357: go on <he said eagerly>

Scene 15

jonM: good to see you CA357, thanks for getting here as fast as you could <reaching out a hand>

CA357: no need for thanks jonM, just sorry we couldn’t get hear sooner <clasping his hand and shaking it>

jonM: Well, you’re here now … and that’s all that matters! <he said gratefully>

CA357: How have things been fairing for you and your team?

jonM: Battling as best we can … this one was a tough assignment … we lost another fighter, Fathead <he said forlornly>

CA357: Damn! <clenching a fist> ... How? <he asked earnestly>

jonM: His slide was jammed up. I figure it had something to do with the reassembly … he probably didn’t notice it. <shaking his head>

CA357: Kids these days … why don’t they just forget about using 1911’s and stick with Glocks? <he said shaking his head>
