I'm very lucky to get along well and still be friends with the mom....and lucky that my girlfriend is willing to stick with me through it. Its not an ideal situation for any of us but I think we can make it work. I think the hardest part will be that my friend lives almost 2 hours away.

Congratulations! I don't think I have any more advice to give you that hasn't already been given... Other than that baby and baby's mother are NOW # 1 priority!
