That is the great thing about opinions, they are developed in weird and sometimes strange ways. Experience seems to be the main format of our opinions though. I truly enjoy input from those with different experiences and on that I thank you.
In my "hostile environment pistol usage" during 16 years of military experience I have had three failures with the 45 ACP on 1911 pistols and these pistols were well kept. According to my log book my Baretta has 16,700 + rounds through it. No failures, no jams, none, period. Still shoots 2.5 inches @ 25 yards all day long with any type of factory ammo I put in it. And, yet I carry a Colt 1911 in 9 x 23 Winchester. Go figure... do we humans ignore the facts or what.
