To Each his own. I guess you never held a 7.5" Redhawk Stainless? Can't get Quality much better then that...
I have my Dad's Old Bull Barrel 5.5" Security Six which was the last Duty Revolver he carried before his Agency authorized Auto's for Duty use. Hard to beat that quality unless your spending a fortune in the S&W custom Performance ctr. shop on a Gun most people can't afford without a dead family member's estate or a lottery hit...

Ohh yea I've shot a Super Red Hawk stainless. The Ruger revolvers are nice, but I'd rather spend the extra $60-$100 for the better trigger and collector value of the S&W. The Ruger's are well worth their cost though.
That's for K, H, and X frame revolvers. S&W is the only way to go for J frame IMO.

It's ridiculous how many votes Ruger is getting. It must be a testament to how great a company it is! (Not that the other companies aren't great also).

I would have to go w/ Ruger, Taurus makes nice pistols but Ruger's are never finicky about what the shoot. I own a Ruger P345 & have fired just about every brand of ammo I can get through it & it has never failed to fire. My first new pistol was a Ruger Security Six & I wish I had never got rid of it, paid 110.00 for it in 1976.

SO that means you've never held or shot an LCR in .38+P or .38/.357 either?? Hmmmm...you've led a sheltered life at such a young age if your closing yourself off from trying other Guns and liking them.
My wife considers herself experienced on revolvers. Her Dad was NYPD for 28.5 yrs. and her Brother for 23 Years. Even before we were dating she was shooting with family members. She tells me that as great a gun as Her Dad's Nickel S&W ch. Special is/was,..she'd carry a Lighter Gun that's every bit as well made..her Ruger LCR in .38+P.....Just Saying...

I wonder if Ruger sees this sort of thing? They could get a lot of great info on how to improve their product line right here.
