I currently live in Nevada and while it's a nice state AND gun friendly, I'm just getting tired of the "desert." So when I retire (soon), I'm moving to the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. Texas is also gun friendly. They, like Nevada, have no state income tax. The cost of living is less than Nevada, and being on a fixed income at retirement, that's important. My "could move" will be a "can move" before I know it......

In a perfect world, SE Pennslyvania, around Gettysburg. In this world, Texas.

Default Move west young man.........

I got salt water running thru my veins, [ along with alchohol ] . As much as I hate the cold nowadays, I'd pack up and head for Alaska. But far away from those damn idiots searching for gold.......

Physically, I am where I want to be. The panhandle of Florida.

Now, mentally, I am still looking for that "solid" state (but the voices in my head don't want me to).

Not where I am...... It's humid and bad for the allergies. Somewhere beautiful like Colorado would be nice.

1- Alaska, it's just so beautiful, I wouldn't care about the cold...

2-Vermont, same thing and sometimes I miss New England...Fall foliage...

3-North Carolina-(well look at that! ) I'd move further west if I could, to the western slope of the Appalacians, Blue Ridge/Smoky Mountain area. Still lots of wide open spaces out there.

I would move to New Hampshire in a heartbeat. As a matter of fact, the wife an I are strongly considering making the move there next spring when our lease is up. Her work has an office there she can transfer to, so at least one of us would have a job there.
