You have suffered a net loss. That means LOSER!

On the rare occasions when I do buy a ticket it is one single ticket. Statistically, buying more than one ticket does not measurably raise your chances of winning.

Chandler51 said the same thing months back. If 1 ticket has 1 in 175+ million to 1 odds, why wouldn't you have 10 in 175+ million to one odds if you bought 10 ?

I don't know how to explain it but I read somewhere (yes, probably on the internet) an explanation that made perfect sense. It has something to do with probabilities and some such nonsense. Sort of like carrying your own bomb onto an airplane because the odds against there being two bombs on board the same plane are astronomical. I think you need a PHD in statistics to be able to explain it well. My PHD is in BS.

I think chandler came to the same place you are. He tried for several pages to explain it to us but never really could get us there. Probably the best odds is just not playing.

Well, if you have an extra dollar it doesn't hurt to play it. If you have an extra ten dollars and play that you are throwing away 9 dollars as I understand it. Not playing makes the odds infinite.
