Hey if you can't whine to your brothers in arms, well then who?

That happened to me three years ago. But while I may not like a job, I hate looking for a new one also. So I tend to sit in a crappy place and feel bad for myself. It's only when the misery gets great enough that I'll make the effort to make a move. There is a saying that "God is doing for me what I can't do for myself". When things got bad enough three years ago I put out the resume' and a great situation was right there. Been happy here since.

PS It's easier to get a job while you have a job. I never quit till I have somthing new set up.

I'm definately not going to quite until I have something else lined up. I've got something in place, it's just not enough for us to live on. It's a dream job(restoring cars) but it would just be me and the owner so we're waiting on my wife to find a job teaching. We have some great leads just nothing solid yet. We thought we would by now but we're still waiting, and praying. Prayers are always welcome in my book.

So I started to make a list of good things about this job:
it pay my bills
I have health insurance for me and my wife
One guy I work with is a clown and often makes me laugh
It's starting to get hot here and I'm in the a/c
While I'm on hold I come here and BS with you guys
I'm in medical sales so occasionally I get to help an old vet
my boss is an idiot and I laugh at him regularly

No, none at all. We actually don't even have a water fountain in my office. I've made good friend with the people in Subway next door. I go over there every day to fill up my water bottle so I have something to drink.

Well, not entirely bad. I audited a vending machine company at my last job; they bought most of their snacks from the "day old" bread place. Day old is OK, but how long do they linger in the machine . As far as soda machines; well, Obama is chasing a soda tax that would just piss you off by spiking the cost of a cola & possibly inspiring roving gangs to raid all soda vending machines.

Think about those Jared commercials & all the pounds/exercise you've saved drinking all that water.

It's been a long while since I worked for anyone but myself. Back in the day when I got fed up with the job I'd look at the picture of my family and understand this is why I put up with the bs. Hang in there brother, keep the job in check as a means to an end and don't let it take away from your life. We work to live and don't live to work.

Thanks Guys! I'm handing in my doctor's note on Friday and heading to Raleigh. There is a wedding on Saturday my wife is taking me to.
