I miss being young.

I miss my Mom. She was the wisest woman I have ever known.

I miss my grandparents. They were both amazing people and I could tell my Grandma literally anything and she was always calm and understanding.

And......you are still young Winds. You have a lot of life left. I used to get sad and wish I could go back to HS but I realize now that getting older is a gift even if I've slowed down a tiny bit.

I miss my father. He was called home when I was 13. He was a wise, kind, and compassionate man. A good, honest, decent American patriot and a good loving Christian. There was so much I could have learned from him.

I miss Leave it to Beaver, Ozzie and Harriet, Father Knows Best, and the other TV shows where courtesy, good manners, decency, morality were the rule.

And I miss the military. Putting on my uniform every morning. saluting the colors, and the quiet pride that comes from knowing that what you do every day is noble and worthwhile.

I miss Dana. She wore an Elvis Presley poodle skirt to school when we were in the second grade (1955) and broke my heart. I never got over it. She lived on Alameda in Memphis. If anyone sees her, tell her I said hello.

Default I Miss...

I miss the clarity of days gone by, when there was right and wrong - not shades of gray, when there was morality not "political correctness", accountability not "plausible deniability".
