This thread bought back a fond old memory of the hot cocoa my Grandmom used to make using whole milk, cane sugar and Hershey's cocoa powder. We'd get that treat everytime we went up to my grandparent's farm in winter, to sled down the back hill or cut down our Christmas tree. My grandfather had a Christmas Tree farm.
My grandparents each came from families with 10 children and had 10 children of their own. We've had a big 4th of July family picnic ever since I can remember, starting up at my grandparent's farm. I am still bless to have the joy of a huge 4th of July family picnic, thanks to my cousin, including whole roast pig, kegs of beer and coolers of tea and soda. The best private fireworks display in all of PA and that 30 foot end-to-end tables of covered dishes. I will miss the hell out of that when it's gone!
