Agree 100%! Nobody is true to their word anymore. I try to teach my students that the only real thing they have in this world is their integrity and that they need to be standup people.

Default Wow! What a thread.

Besides missing the index cards with the 9mm, I miss:

My first love, and my other loves;
I miss feeling like I had my whole life ahead of me and had plenty of time to do whatever I wanted to do;
I miss having things I wanted/needed to do in my life;
I miss laughing so hard my sides hurt;
I miss when people made judgments on the actual merits of an issue instead of an ideology;

I miss reading the Screaming Yellow Zonkers box;

And I’m glad I had these experiences to miss, if that makes any sense, . . . except maybe for the index cards.

Haha.........there's no Waffle House around me. But I DO remember going to the Golden Bear 24 restaurant after closing time myself. I once remember ordering my greasy, life saving breakfast laying down on my side of the booth.

Ah, yes!! The Screaming Yellow Zonkers boxes. I forgot about those.

And you just need bigger index cards. Don't they come in poster size?

I just found this:

"Starting on May 15th in Walgreens Stores nationwide, you will be able to pick up Screaming Yellow Zonkers in 4 special edition boxes for a buck a piece (a real bargain). This re-release could be for a limited time only, so if you are a fan of Zonkers’ delicious buttery sweetness, do not hesitate. Go out and pick some up for yourself or a friend who has not yet experienced the wonders of the black box. They are perfect for the movies, the ballpark or a romantic popcorn based dinner. Go get zonked today!"

Whoops, that was May 15th, of LAST YEAR.

The index card size is a moot point until there's a return to resonably priced ammunition. That's another thing I miss.

I remember seeing a picture in Hot Rod magazine of Craig Breedlove driving the rocket powered go-cart that was sponsored by Screaming Yellow Zonkers back in the early 70's.

Yeah, you read that right. Golden Bear. They aren't around anymore. 24/7/365 THE place to go after a night of drinking in the '70's.

I miss West Germany. No one wants the East Germans around. The Soviets knew what they were doing when they gave it back. I miss the 80s. I miss Ronald Reagan. I miss the good ole USA and what it stands for, it no longer exists.

Don't know what I'd order @ the Golden bear, but @ Waffle House, it's usually: 2 eggs over medium, hashbrowns -scattered, cover, smothered and chunked, extra-crispy and a waffle, with coffee and milk.........yummmmmmmm!

The USA does exist. It's just in smaller packages, and we have them by the millions. It's in the heart of patriots, and we will never give up our ideals.

I miss Reagan, too. The most powerful man leading the most powerful country, and he still kept his sense of humor. He was much stronger than a lot of people gave him credit for.
