I miss sealing a deal with a handshake instead of a flock of lawyers.

I always open the door for my wife also, definitely a respect thing. I think its funny, cause if I go to slow, she will stand there and wait for me to open it. She knows it upsets me if she has to open it herself. I miss the days when respect meant something and happened more often.

When I travel outside of TX I am always amazed at how surprised women are when I open the door, hold the elevator, or let them off first...
Have even been known to hold an arm out to block a guy pushing out first. Miss that common understanding!

I miss the show "Tales of the Gun" on the history channel. All of the new shows aren't as informative and often get details wrong. "Weaponology" was a good one too, but the military channel stopped making it...... :-(

I've never eaten at a Waffle House.

You should think about putting it on your bucket list. Short of a Mom and Pop place I hit in the western part of Virginia, they have the best hash browns I have ever tasted. I do advise you to go during the day if you can, and definitely before the bars close at night. You do not want to be in a Waffle House right after last call.

100% agree. I've had guys older than me give a funny look when I stick out my hand or if they do shake it's like grabbing a dead fish. Man up, shake hands and hold doors for the ladies
