the smell of fresh brewed coffee on a cold winter morning.

the first time i smelled Hoppes #9 when my father was cleaning guns.

the smell of cotton candy at the fair when it came to town.

On the subject of Hoppes#9...
They have an air freshener for your car. I told my Mom I wanted one. She says, "just dump kerosene in the carpet of your truck. That's what that smell is..."

Great idea... But I had to pass on that one, I was a chain smoker at the time...

The smell of Spring mud, not the mud that smells a bit like livestock poop or fish poop, but that fresh spring mud that smells mostly of dank, dead leaves and "dirt" that isn't really all that old, particularly in comparison to the age of my sniffer. It smells like Summer and fresh produce is almost here...c'mon watermelons.

Freshly changed babies, my rotisserie with a four and a half pound chicken with herbs to province and cut lemons in the chest cavity, dirty guns, dirty sex( someone had to say it) clean sheets. Sitting by a river, Jack Daniels, cut wood, marshmallows over the campfire.

I love the smell of sautéing onions in a cast iron skillet, fresh cooked bacon, the morning coffee and the fresh smell of the air after a summer thunder storm!

I quit smoking back in November. Now I'm like a two legged trackin' machine. My sense of smell is incredible. I'm in the dining room, wife's in the kitchen. I can't see what she's doing but I can look over the island counter and see her face. She cracks open a can of cat food and it hit me like a wet mop, lol. I said, cat food? She's like, omigod...I smell everything now which is not always good, lol.
