I haven't died....
I'm still around guys but I can't get on here at work anymore....stupid filters! and I don't have internet set up at my house yet so the only time I can get here is when I stop by my parents place. Sucks. I should be getting some internet set up this week, I hope anyway. Just wanted to let you know I'm not gone and I'll be back soon as I can. I need the like minded bashing of stupid people to make it thru the day.

oh yeah, wife is doing well, new place is good and I want a Marlin 336 in 30-30 or a muzzle loader....Can't decide but I'm leading towards the 336.

Well good that you're still around and doing good!
You like lever actions? :)

spittinfire 07-11-2009 05:24 PM

I don't currently own a lever but I've wanted one for a long time.

Glad to hear you're still around, doing well, and enjoying the new house! The 336 is an excellent choice - good accurate shooter, and cheap and easy to reload for. Mine makes less than 2" groups at 100 yds. with H322 and 150 gr. RN bullets. Muzzleloaders are fun & accurate too, especially traditional sidelocks. In fact my next purchase is going to be the Traditions Crockett Squirrel Rifle in .32 cal. It costs quite a bit more than a new 336!

Good to hear from you again. I have a marlin 336 that was my first gun. 35 years later I still enjoy it and find myself fonder of it as time passes.

Get the Marlin. You won't regret it.

I have a Marlin lever action that was my dads, it's a great rifle.

The jury is still out on my next purchase but I am leaning towards the 336. I've somehow com accross some 30-30 ammo over the years. I've got to get a weed eater before I get anything. I did just get a John Deer LX280 with 29 hours on it! Looks like new. Gotta love getting a $4k tractor thats 3 years old, very low hours for $1900 delivered to my door.

Sounds like a hellava price deal to me Spittinfire indeed, especially for a Deer tractor.

I was very happy with the price and the mower, used it for the first time last week. Now I've just got to track down a good weed eater.....I've been spending money like Obama the past few weeks and it's all been on stuff like a mower, in laws got us our wedding gift, a new bed so of course we needed new sheets. $110 to hook up the internet plus I have to buy a router, truck needs tires(got a free set from a buddy but still have to have them mounted), my wife's cell phone died so we had to get her a new one.

Thank God we've been smart enough to save money for such things. We've been able to cover everything without charging any of it. It just hurts to watch your bank account drop so fast.
