Rentacop, i hear what you're saying. in the late 70's and early 80's country music moved a lot closer to pop. with the insurgence of a few, they brought back the classic roots of the older country music to the listeners. nothing wrong with pushing the bounderies of music and taking it in new directions, but it's also nice that some still put out the style of country music that many of us like.
i am sure that every generation has said the same thing about music at one time!
