I, too, live in Arkansas and sometimes get tired hearing the elitist attitudes of some people in our country. Usually, its those who consider themselves the "open minded" ones. I've been to the largest cities in the nation and have spent time in Bucksnort Tn. I try to understand the ignorance of people who think that cramming 20 million people in an area that is 15 miles by 15 miles means your very sophistocated. I can't understand why people would choose to live in an urban environment compared to having some space. I don't like red necks either as a general rule. I don't like ignorant city folk who would starve to death without a restaurant an every block any more than rednecks.

I've been called a redneck by NH natives. My comment is simple. I'm an educated man from the NY suburbs that decided I could make my own decisions about how to live life. So I move up here w/ you uneducated, undersized pussies not realizing socialist trash is everywhere.

I had a son-in-law that was from Arkansas and he wore his redneck pride like a badge of honor. This young man knew who he was and where he came from and was damned proud of it. Don't ever forget that "sticks and stones" BS, cause it's true. Don't ever let words tear you apart, because if you do, you lose.

In the words of Jeff Foxworthy, if the chain on your wallet is longer than the chain on your dog, you just might be a redneck. That use to be me and I'm not even from the south.
