i am thinking about getting a new gunsafe.

I was wondering what other people use to secure their guns and what you think is the best?

In my opinion you cant go wrong with a Liberty safe...of course i sell them so I might be a little biased. Personally i like their fat boy model, not the prettiest but the best bang for the buck.

I have been shopping a new fireproof gun safe for about 6 months now, hunting and doing the research. Started a thread on this very subject a month or so ago.

I have to disagree with this statement. As i stated above, i have been hunting hard for a safe and doing my research.

I settled on a Cannon. For the money the Cannon was the best bang for the buck. The Fat Boy Jr. was comparable price wise. (altho the only one i came across locally was at Gander and came in $200 more than what i paid for mine) BUT the Cannon has the power port, usb and ethernet connection (for dehumidifier and lights etc) already installed.

My newest big purchase....Cannon 48 gun, fire proof, water proof, gun safe.

Hope this helps you out shootitout.

I have a GunVault deluxe for my bedside handgun.

I have a fire-rated Liberty safe for my personal goods and my carry handguns, also in our bedroom.

Then another Liberty fire-rated gun safe elsewhere in the house for all of the rifles and ammo and such.

When my nephew comes up with a sweetener, i will probably trade him my gunsafe (liberty lz25 from GMtn) for his Ruger Redhawk .44mag + ?. A gun cabinet/locker would be adequate for my needs and easier when moving time comes around. I do like the door attachment that has a half dozen pistol holders and some other pockets for mags & such.

I would suggest you consider the idea of a gunsafe with a non-electronic lock.
