Default Hypothetical question.

I did not post this in the 'survival' section, because I want to kinda make this somewhat of a 'wish-list' deal.

Purely hypothetical:

There's this guy I know, we'll call him Hans.

Hans has a bit of a dilema. He has some acreage, and is considering building a bunker. He has many vangtage points, but is confused as to the whole set-up. Hans thought about some slots for autos, but he has no autos and can't see one in the future. Sniper holes? Small arm areas? Field of view? Storage?

I am hoping to let Hans know what everyone's opinion is, and maybe come up with some good ideas.

Hans thanks you.

Let's make sure this stays a work of fiction guys - we don't need any LEO types taking the information here the wrong way and I know notdku doesn't need any extra headaches -

Your Mods and Admins thank you in advance for understanding the words "hypothetically" and "vague"

JD

Purely hypothetical and vague. Fictional 'wish list'. I may tell Hans that he needs autos. I'd like to see a .50 cal auto on a top deck of that bunker, myself.

What if there were no more hypothetical questions?

Would that cause a tear in the time continuum?

Could you then shoot through the tear?

Could you escape through the tear?

Would that be a worm hole?

Can bullets travel through the worm hole?

Let's not stop the hypothetical questions!

Oh.....I thought he was talking about questions which don't make you sneeze, but those are hypoallergenic questions.

By "bunker", I'm assuming a seriously hardened domicile, or the Barn from Hell. Or both, connected in some way.

There must be a full 360 degrees of view, cause the enemy will come from any direction.

Plenty of storage for ammo, food and provisions and such in a lower level.

Purely hypothetical of course!!

Oh, I forgot, it must be situated on high ground.

I think Hans could hypothetically consult several Army T.M.s and F.M.s, which would hypothetically give him alot of information to do this depending on terrain, land layout, likely avenues of approach, etc. Hypothetically, of course.

Here's my land, looking east from the western property boundary

As you can see, there are minor accessibility issues:

I have thought about building underground up there. Initially, it was an insulation issue, as we're completely off the grid up there. But when I got down to thinking about it, the costs wouldn't bee too much more to add a hardened door to the entry way and an air filtration system.

Other than zoning issues, is it hypothetically legal for Hans to assemble a hypothetical structure? They did have all those bomb shelters in the 50s, so I can't imagine such a stucture would be illegal.

[THREAD JACK]Matt is that out off of 36? My dad belongs to the Tehama shooters. That looks mighty close to them.

I suspect that is Mt. Lassen in the background correct?[/THREAD JACK]

I would not want to dig in that ground matt you are going to go threw a ton of teeth on any kind of a back hoe or track hoe diggin in that dirt with all them course lava rocks in it.

I would get me about 10 or 20 of these and link them together with a bunch of underground tunnels.
