O.U.C.H.

Same thing I had done to the ankle in 84. 10/28/83 took me off Active Duty and into the active reserves for good...at least they gave me a year to try and get back to 100%, I just never got past 90% ever again. I will say also that there have been some great advancements in the last 30 years in PT with how they treat Pain and such. Being here in a small town with great medical services is also a big help. Everyone talks to everyone else....

Hey ya'll watch this is why walk funny first thing in the morning (hip), why I can't throw a ball more than 50 feet (shoulder). Not to mention the results of "hold my beer while I weld this".

Sounds like the "Chicken Fat" injections - just under the knee-cap. These I've heard are very expensive. I had 3 injections in each knee about 30 days apart. They didn't do much for me. But I don't have any cartilage in my left knee anymore.

I've been asking if they have developed (or working on) an artificial replacement cartilage but it doesn't seem to be in the immediate future.

They put some bio cartilage in my knee, did a lot of cleaning up of soft tissue damage and microfractured the distal end of the femur. So I'm in a neat brace thats locked in place so that I can't move it. Pretty interesting contraption.
