How many rounds?

About how many rounds do you typically fire when you go out shooting. In total, per gun... Doesn't matter, just curious if others get as tired of it as quickly as I do. Perhaps it's not a number of rounds but, rather, hours that you shoot.

Personally I tend to shoot for no more than 2-3 hours putting about 200 rounds through various weapons.

I'm not quite sure if it's the obnoxiousness of the constant loud banging, the cold weather because I shoot outdoors, the need to eat and grab a manly beer after going out and doing manly things... Hahaha. Maybe it's a combination of it all.

Depends of the gun, the cost of ammo, the amount of kick the gun has, and how I'm feeling that day.

I love my 30-06, but the ammo is expensive and it has a decent kick. I'll put around 20 rounds through it.

12 ga, it kicks hard too, but ammo is cheap so I'll put as many rounds as I want through it. (50-100 rounds)

.22, super cheap ammo. 100s to 1000s of rounds.

When 9mm was about 11 bucks for a box of 100 (around 2005-2006), I'd shoot about 500 rounds twice a week. Now it's all .22

With my scoped deer rifle, I will shoot 3.

If they are touching and dead center, that's it.

If not, I will adjust the scope, and shoot 3 more. Normally that does the trick.

One year, I had to shoot 9 total.

Then I clean the rifle and pack the jeep cherokee sport to get ready to go hunting.

Same with the .44 mag only it has iron sights not optics. So 3 is usually plenty.

Sum total of all this is therefore anywhere from 6 to 12, at most, for both guns, per year.

I would not say that I am "tired of it," but rather that I was well trained by an excellent organization in the first place during which time I must have fired hundreds of rounds, and logged each individual one in a data book.

Now ask me how many arrows I "shoot" (actually, you launch arrows, because there is no shot involved) per visit to the archery range? The answer is about 50 per day, or 18,000 per year.

Just went shooting the other day, we burnt through probably 200 12ga target loads shooting skeet. A brick of .22 between the p22 and the model 60,And 50 rounds of .357.

When I shoot the fnp-45 I usually shoot about 100-150 rounds bc I know that's about all I will order to replace what I shot on short notice. On the off chance I find a place to shoot the AK I usually burn through about 3-500 rounds just to take advantage of finding a place to Shoot it.

So, you told me you had someone give you over a hundred rounds of 357. I expect the other fifty to be available this sat. I get ten. Caint believe you would be so stingy. Lol

Not counting transit, set-up and pack-up time I find one solid hour of shooting per week keeps my guns exercised and my skills sharp.

Total rounds depend on what guns go to the range.

I always run two mags min through my carry piece every trip!

With my bolt-action and lever-action rifles I shoot about 20 - 30 times. With my M1A I shoot about 80 times. With my semi-auto handguns I go through one box of 50 and with the revolvers I shoot about 30 times.
