Police: man stages attack to win woman's affection - TODAY'S TMJ4

PLEASANT PRAIRIE - A Pleasant Prairie man is in jail for a plot he planned to gain a woman's affection, according to police.

Police say Robbie Suhr, 48, dressed in dark clothes and a mask and attacked a 26-year-old exchange student who was living with Suhr and his family.

According to a police press release, Suhr -- who is married and has children -- told them he wanted to be in a relationship with the woman and that he "intended to tie her up while masked, leave the area, and then return as himself to rescue her."

The alleged incident happened Friday, Oct. 21 around 10:30 p.m. in a quiet neighborhood just outside of town.

The female had gone out to have a cigarette when she encountered the masked man in the garage. Police say two children were inside the home at the time.

"She fought back and the suspect eventually gave up the attack, fled from the garage," said Sgt. Peter Jung with Pleasant Prairie Police.

Suhr's wife wasn't home Saturday but his son told TODAY'S TMJ4 the family had known the exchange student for a couple of years and she had been living with them.
