On my android i can unsubscribe to threads so it wont bring them back as current threads. Also i use my phone 99% of the time, im at work to often.

On the iPhone, you don't have to be subscribed to a thread. There is a "current threads" tab, and it brings up the most recent couple of threads in each forum. It also has a "subscribed" tab that you can, as you said, unsubscribe from threads.

I have a "smart" phone but it's usually sitting on the kitchen counter, sometimes with a dead battery and sometimes on the charger. Can't take it to work due to the high security restrictions (not to mention that I'm out in the middle of nowhere in the upper desert area of Nevada). I've never owned a cell phone before so for the last year and a half, I still don't use it a lot. Some phone calls and the app for my local TV Guide service. That's about it. I can't "type" fast enough on the phone, anyway. I'm a touch typist and type around 50 to 60 words a minute so the 'one finger' mashing of the touchscreen on my Droid is just too onerous for me to even bother with. I do NOT text. I didn't choose that option for service from Verizon (my wireless carrier).
