OH HOLY EFFING Mother of Nemo.
it is a SLIDE. SLIDE
NOT SLIDER SLIDE....
A Slider is a small bite sized hamburger or cheese burger.

For the front mount, I'm trying to do something like in this video.

For the slider mount, well, I want to put it on top of the slider, without it falling off or damaging the surface of the gun. I thought of Velcro, but I wouldn't want to mar the surface when I rip the sticky part off.

jeremiah, you might get more acquainted with your new pistol, or pistols in general, before you start on such a project. Just a friendly word of advice.

That sir, is the reason we are not endorsing your action. A good firearms safety course will help you identify the parts and how to safely handle your firearm.
Please schedule yourself for one soon.

Did you even read the owners manual? I am sure they didn't call it a slider in that did they?
You should have read the owners manual before you even chambered a round in your XD-45.
Visit NRA.org look for some training classes in your area.

No, I haven't as it isn't in my possession yet.

I've shot XD-45's that others owned.
