Here, snapping turtle is common and frequently offered at multi-species cook outs. Lots of people roll balls of turtle meat and deep fry them. They're called 'turtle balls'.

Wasn't there some crappy movie about a decade ago with Matthew Whats His name and Marlon Brando about some secret supper club that served species from the "Endangered" list??

Seems to me the whole movie was spent trying to save some Kimodo Dragon or something, and then at the end.............

Well, I don't want to ruin the "epic masterpiece" for anyone.
