Default Hors d"oeuvres, anyone?

As several members have mentioned, it has gotten slow around here. I've taken it upon myself to stave off boredom with my series of controversial, ban-testing threads.

Let's start here.

What endangered animal would be best for a cookout, and do you have a recipe?

The Whooping Crane looks scrumptious.

What we need is for someone to write a cookbook of coyote recipes; there are entirely too many of those stupid critters, almost like politicians. If it had to be endangered, well, you could feed a whole lot of people off a blue whale.

There are lots of 'yotes out there, but I am not a fan of scavenger meat. Just me. Spotted owl paté does sound good, JD. What's that other little grouse or quail the Sierra Club keeps harping about? Farm them and fatten them and make sammiches out of them.

Ok, this thread brought out the dark side of skullcrusher, me.

Would a vegan taste better than a vegetarian? I think if I were in a Donner Party situation, I would go after the vegetarians or vegans first. Diet has a huge impact on meat quality in terms of taste and tenderness and fat content. Grain fed beef is better than pasture beef. So, vegans first, then?
